Application Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 12, 2026

This Application Privacy Policy explains how Liberty Lamp Learning collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when parents and guardians use the Liberty Lamp Learning website, Homeschool App, family onboarding tools, curriculum features, and optional integrations such as Google Sign-In and Google Drive.

1. Information We Collect

Parent and guardian account information. We may collect information you provide when creating or managing an account or family profile, including name, email address, phone number, mailing address, state, household name, homeschool name, relationship type, communication preferences, and account permissions.

Student and homeschool records. Student information such as names, birth dates, grades, photos, attendance, courses, learning records, assessments, work samples, calendar information, compliance records, and transcript information is intended to be stored within the Liberty Lamp encrypted family vault rather than as ordinary marketing or CRM contact information.

Technical and usage information. Our website and service providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, login activity, cookies, security logs, and website usage data needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

2. Google User Data

If you choose to use Google Sign-In, Liberty Lamp Learning may receive the basic Google account information authorized by you for authentication, such as your name, email address, Google account identifier, and profile information made available through the sign-in permission you approve.

If you choose to connect a Google service such as Google Drive, Liberty Lamp Learning may request the Google permissions shown on Google’s authorization screen. Google user data is used only to provide or improve the user-facing feature you requested, such as signing you in, creating or restoring Liberty Lamp backup files, or another integration that you expressly authorize.

Liberty Lamp Learning does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for targeted or personalized advertising, provide it to data brokers or information resellers, use it to determine creditworthiness, or use it to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, where applicable.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to create and administer accounts, provide the family homeschool workspace, manage parent or guardian access, support curriculum mapping and scheduling, generate records and reports, provide state compliance tools, deliver requested communications, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, provide customer support, and improve Liberty Lamp Learning.

Parent or guardian contact information may also be used for newsletters or product communications when you have subscribed or otherwise provided permission. Student information is not intended to be added to FluentCRM marketing contacts.

4. Family Vault and Student Privacy

Liberty Lamp Learning is designed so that sensitive student and homeschool information can be maintained in an encrypted family vault. The service may store encrypted vault data and related system metadata needed to synchronize, secure, or restore the family workspace. Parents and guardians are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and any vault password, recovery information, or encryption credentials presented to them.

Parents or legal guardians control the information they add about children. Liberty Lamp Learning is intended for use by adults responsible for a child’s education. Children should not independently create family accounts or submit personal information without appropriate parental or guardian involvement.

5. Sharing and Service Providers

We may use trusted service providers to operate website hosting, authentication, email delivery, security, analytics, customer communications, backups, or other requested integrations. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for Liberty Lamp Learning or as directed by you. We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect the security, rights, and integrity of users or the service.

6. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process. These measures may include encrypted storage for family-vault data, access controls, authentication, secure transport, account permissions, auditing, and security monitoring. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account and service information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain required business and security records, resolve disputes, comply with law, and honor legitimate record-retention needs. Encrypted family records may remain available until the household deletes them, closes the account, or requests deletion, subject to technical backup cycles and legal obligations.

You may request deletion of your Liberty Lamp Learning account and associated server-stored data by contacting us at jim.vanetten@statecitizentrust.org. You may also revoke Liberty Lamp Learning’s access to your Google Account through your Google Account security settings. Revoking Google access does not automatically delete information that was previously stored in your Liberty Lamp account; you may separately request deletion from Liberty Lamp Learning.

8. Cookies and Authentication

Liberty Lamp Learning and its WordPress plugins may use cookies or similar technologies required for login sessions, security, preferences, forms, and website functionality. Third-party authentication providers may set their own cookies subject to their privacy policies.

9. Your Choices

You may update family account information, manage authorized parent or guardian access, disconnect optional integrations, unsubscribe from marketing communications, and request access to or deletion of personal information subject to applicable law and legitimate security requirements.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Liberty Lamp Learning evolves. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes to the way Google user data is accessed, used, stored, or shared will be reflected in this policy before or when those changes take effect.
