These Application Terms of Service govern your use of Liberty Lamp Learning, including the website, Homeschool App, family onboarding tools, curriculum features, recordkeeping tools, compliance tools, and optional third-party integrations.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, signing in, connecting an integration, or using Liberty Lamp Learning, you agree to these Terms and the Application Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Parent and Guardian Accounts
Family accounts are intended to be managed by a parent, legal guardian, or other adult who has lawful authority to manage the relevant homeschool records. You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for keeping your login credentials secure.
A primary parent or guardian may authorize additional adults for a household and assign available permission levels, including full or read-only access. The account holder is responsible for ensuring that invited users are authorized to access the family information made available to them.
3. Student Information and Family Vault
Liberty Lamp Learning is designed to store sensitive student and homeschool information in an encrypted family vault. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for safeguarding passwords, recovery information, or encryption credentials associated with the vault.
You retain responsibility for deciding what student information to enter, upload, export, share, or connect to third-party services. Do not use Liberty Lamp Learning to store information you are not authorized to possess or manage.
4. Homeschool, Compliance, and Recordkeeping Tools
Liberty Lamp Learning provides tools for organizing homeschool schedules, curriculum, attendance, instructional time, portfolios, reports, transcripts, deadlines, and state-related compliance information. These tools are intended to assist families with recordkeeping and planning. They are not a substitute for your responsibility to verify current legal, school-district, umbrella-program, testing, reporting, or other requirements that apply to your family.
Information presented by the application is not legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Laws, regulations, agency practices, and local requirements can change, and users remain responsible for confirming applicable requirements.
5. Curriculum and Third-Party Materials
Families may map different curricula to different students and subjects, including Liberty Lamp Learning curriculum and third-party curriculum providers. Third-party products, websites, content, pricing, licenses, and availability are controlled by their respective providers. Liberty Lamp Learning does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or suitability of third-party materials.
Unless otherwise stated, use of Liberty Lamp Learning does not grant you ownership of copyrighted curriculum or materials supplied by third parties. You are responsible for maintaining any licenses or subscriptions required by an outside curriculum provider.
6. Google and Other Integrations
Optional integrations, including Google Sign-In or Google Drive, are provided for convenience. If you connect a third-party account, you authorize Liberty Lamp Learning to use the permissions you approve for the purpose of providing the requested feature. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies.
You may disconnect optional integrations at any time, subject to the controls provided by Liberty Lamp Learning and the third-party provider. Liberty Lamp Learning is not responsible for outages, changes, restrictions, or data loss caused by third-party services outside our control.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use Liberty Lamp Learning to violate law, infringe another person’s rights, gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems, distribute malware, interfere with service operation, circumvent security controls, impersonate another person, or misuse another family’s educational records.
8. Your Content
You retain ownership of information and original content you enter into Liberty Lamp Learning. You grant Liberty Lamp Learning the limited rights necessary to host, process, encrypt, transmit, back up, display, and otherwise handle your content solely to operate and improve the user-facing service you request.
9. Service Availability and Changes
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features as the service develops. We may also establish free and paid service levels in the future. If a previously free feature becomes subject to a paid plan, we will provide reasonable notice where practical and will not intentionally convert a user into a paid subscription without the user’s authorization.
10. Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to unlawful or abusive activity, enforce these Terms, or comply with legal obligations. You may stop using Liberty Lamp Learning at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Application Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
Liberty Lamp Learning is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, that every feature will be error-free, that third-party integrations will remain available, or that use of the service alone will satisfy every homeschool, educational, legal, regulatory, or institutional requirement.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Liberty Lamp Learning and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the service, loss of records, third-party service failures, or reliance on informational content. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Liberty Lamp Learning evolves. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
